EBS

Compression Air Emergency Breathing System” (CA-EBS) certificate.

Emergency Breathing System

Compression Air Emergency Breathing System” (CA-EBS) is designed for personnel traveling to or from offshore installations or ships via helicopter where the equipment is used in the event of an emergency landing at sea.

Medicals ApS can perform the necessary certificate. The certificate is required when BOSIET, Basic offshore safety induction & training, takes place in the UK. There is a requirement for a "fitness to train" certificate, signed by an OGUK approved doctor. The certificate must be presented to the training provider on the day of your training. The validity of the certificate is 2 years.

If you are medically unfit to train, you can still participate in your BOSIET/FOET but not the in-water CA-EBS exercises. You will still get your certificate as normal. You will be required to undertake dry CA-EBS training.

Candidates will have to get a ‘fitness to train’ certificate issued by a registered OGUK medical examiner. This will need to be presented to the training provider on the day of your training. Remember to book this along with your OGUK Offshore certificate if you are attending a UK course.
