Medicals ApS issues certificates to people who must work in Sweden and carry out climbing with a large difference in level. Large level difference usually means more than 13 meters, which is often the case when working in onshore wind. This work involves risks of free fall or uncontrolled situations where rescue may be difficult.

The medical examination must be carried out before the start of employment and thereafter at intervals of no more than one year.

Resting ECG should be performed:

a) before the employee is employed in the work, and

b) recurring,

i. for employees under the age of 40, with no more than 5 year intervals, incl

longest validity to 42 years, and

ii. for employees who have reached the age of 40 with no more than 2 year intervals,

Cholesterol profile should be performed:

a) before the employee is employed in the work, and

b) recurring,

i. for employees under the age of 40, with no more than 5 year intervals, incl

longest validity to 42 years, and

ii. for employees who have reached the age of 40 with no more than 2 year intervals,

An age-appropriate cardiovascular risk assessment is carried out in connection with the study.

It is possible to choose to elucidate the heart vessel status with a work test.
